How to Submit Your Project on Devpost
All hackathon projects must be submitted via Devpost. Follow these steps to get set up and ready:
1. Create a Devpost Account

Go to https://devpost.com

Click Sign Up (top right).

You can sign up with GitHub, LinkedIn, or email.

Fill in your profile (name, photo, bio).
2. Join the Trend Hacker 2026 Devpost Page

Visit the Trend Hacker Devpost event link (we’ll provide it in Discord and at the Opening Ceremony).

Click Join Hackathon.

Make sure you’re logged in with your Devpost account.
3. Form or Join a Team

Teams can be 1–3 members.

Once you’ve joined the hackathon on Devpost:

Go to the Participants tab.

Invite teammates using their Devpost usernames or emails.
-
Confirm your team formation before you submit.
4. Prepare Your Submission
When your project is ready, click Submit Project on the hackathon page. You’ll be asked to provide:

Project name

Description

Video Reel: A fun and engaging video reel showcasing features in the application (or link to the reel)

Product: a GitHub link/ link to hosted website/ apk/ exe...

Team members: including team members’ student ID and contact emails
5. Submit Before the Deadline

Final submission deadline: Sunday 3rd May, 11:59pm (AEST)

Late submissions won’t be accepted, so aim to finish early.

Engagement on social media platforms contributes to the final score using the following metrics: Likes: 1 point each. Comments: 2 points each. Forwards: 3 points each. -
Utility
Evaluation of whether the product solves a genuine problem or meaningfully improves a daily task. -
Entertainment
Assessment of the core concept or user interface based on how funny, trendy, and shareable it is. -
Technical Execution
Focus on the development of a functional, working product rather than just a conceptual design. -
The Reel
Evaluation of the quality and impact of the promotional social media reel created for the project.
